Devops Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, we are seeking to recruit a Devops Engineer to compliment our existing team developing, deploying and supporting digitization solutions and real-time software systems in the oil/gas and other industries.

Working within a team with a strong continuous development/devops focus, it is an ideal opportunity for someone with a keen interest in Devops to gain industry experience and responsibility quickly. DevOps Engineer responsibilities include testing and deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in deployment of updates and fixes
• Configure automated testing of software releases.
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Skills:

• Ability to use a wide variety of continuous integration technologies and tools
• Ability to code and script
• Experience with systems and IT operations
• Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
• Good working experience with Linux.

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

Desirable certifications

• University degree/Diploma in Computing or related subject
• Microsoft Certifications

Must have Unrestricted work authorization in the country where they wish to be based (UK/Poland/Azerbaijan)
