Challenge
Creating the weekly plant availability report involved a series repetitive tasks, including extracting real-time production data, adding downtime data and potential, calculating production and plan efficiencies, as well as on-demand and on-stream availabilities, and pasting values and charts into a single report to be emailed to management.
Solution
Using Ingenuity’s digital reporting capability, a template for the weekly availability report was configured to the user’s specification with clean and informative trend lined and bar charts.
Today, once per week all an engineer needs to do is enter production deferment figures and the report is generated automatically and emailed with one click.
Impact
The engineer has gained back three hours every week to use the reliability information to analyse improvement opportunities, conduct problem resolution. In addition, the engineer feels more engaged, motivated and valued.
