Eigen Limited built the “Eigen Ingenuity” and the “Eigen Search” apps as commercial applications. This SERVICE is provided by Eigen Limited and is intended for use as is.
Information Collection and Use
Eigen Ingenuity account
This app is intended to be used together with the Eigen Ingenuity system. The user can log in with his Eigen Ingenuity Mobile Manager user account to access his personal data stored within the Eigen Ingenuity system.
The user’s name, binding id and time of the performed operations are sent to the associated Eigen Ingenuity server to provide the Service.
These apps access the information about user’s network connection status in order to determine its online/offline state, to be able to handle the connectivity with the server. It does not store or save the network connectivity details.
Both apps may request access to the device’s camera to provide a feature that allows users to log in using a QR code. The camera input is processed locally on the device solely for the QR code detection.
The “Eigen Search” app can additionally use the device’s camera or gallery to provide a “tag OCR” feature, which sends the picture for analysis on the Eigen Ingenuity backend server. No data is sent automatically – the user needs to explicitly choose/take the picture to be send and click the “Submit” button.
3rd Party Authentication
The apps support Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) authentication, which is to be configured separately. If the use of Microsoft Entra ID is configured in your organisation, the app may ask you to log in with your Microsoft account in order to provide access to your corporate network. The app may retain your user information in a secure storage provided by Microsoft.
Whenever you use our Service, in case of an error in the app we may need to request data and information from your mobile phone called “Log Data”. These logs are just stored on your phone, and you can explicitly send them to us if required.
Log Data may include information such as your devices’ Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, configuration of the app when utilising our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
HTML5 local storage is a component of the Web storage application programming interface. It is a method by which Web applications locally store named key/value pairs inside a client’s Web view.
Local storage is used by this app to retain the user information and data to provide offline access for the user data available within the app.
