Eigen and Chrysaor initiate engineering support project

Offshore oil and gas digitalisation software provider and systems integrator, Eigen, has initiated an engineering support project with exploration and production company, Chrysaor.

The partnership involves Eigen building process system monitoring, equipment performance monitoring and condition monitoring displays for Chrysaor’s critical mechanical and process equipment and has already delivered improvements in productivity.

Lundin Norway digital drilling operations portal implementation launched

Offshore oil and gas digitalisation software provider and systems integrator, Eigen, has rolled out a digital portal for Lundin Norway’s drilling operations.

The Drilling Portal is now live and combines remote monitoring of information from multiple different systems to provide a quick and intuitive overview of all drilling operations. A search functionality also allows access across historic information, reports and ‘lessons learned’.

A two pronged approach

Gareth Davies, Eigen, UK, discusses different process methods for achieving digitisation.

Several technologies have accelerated offshore productivity and performance in recent times and these have declined substantially in cost. With the rise of the Internet of Things (IoT), remote sensing, data combination and dissemination, cloud computing, industrial internet, block-chain, analytics and artificial intelligence, the foundations of the 4th Industrial Revolution are firmly in place for the oil and gas sector.

Goliat Barrier Status Panel goes live

Offshore Oil and Gas digitalisation software provider Eigen, has rolled out a state-of-the-art Barrier Status Panel solution together with Eni Norge which has enhanced operational barrier management on the Goliat FPSO within weeks of going live.

Delivered in close collaboration with SAFETEC and SINTEF which has contributed with extensive Risk and Barrier Management know-how and experience, this is the first implementation of its kind to restructure the understanding and management of risk. The project dramatically reduces the time required to identify and analyse Operational Risks in the form of Barrier status.

App technology launched for O&G digital workers with live information access

Offshore Oil and Gas digitalisation software provider and systems integrator, Eigen, has released an app that equips Digital Workers with live access to real-time and other operational information, using wearable devices.

Available today and being used by Lundin Norway as the first user, Eigen has developed the technology as part of a pilot with Honeywell to meet Lundin Norway’s digital vision.

Wearables and app technology launched with real time information access for O&G digital workers

Offshore Oil and Gas digitalisation software provider and systems integrator, Eigen, has built an app that provides access to real time information for Oil and Gas platform managers and operatives, using wearable devices.
Working in partnership with Lundin Norway, Eigen has deployed technology to enable the Digital Worker to gain immediate access to critical data, using an app or by wearing a headset with a visor interface. This provides offshore workers with easy and fast access to operational information in one place.

Eigen Delivering Enhanced Operational Management at Goliat

Offshore Oil and Gas digitalisation software provider and systems integrator, Eigen, is delivering a new Barrier Status Panel to improve the management of operational safety on Goliat.

Working with ENI Norge, the Barents Sea project will greatly increase the visibility of real time asset-integrity and risk-stance. This will help operations to reduce the risk of safety incidents and production losses on the platform. The system is due to enter production in April.

By implementing the first solution of its kind to restructure the understanding and management of risk, the innovative project will eliminate the time required to identify and analyse safety barrier status. This will enable engineers to focus on other operationally essential activities, whilst complying with health, safety and environmental policies.
